Ryan was raised deep in the heart of Central Texas and has a long family history going back several generations in Texas. He is a product of the Round Rock ISD public school system and was taught at a young age that anything is possible through hard work, determination, and treating others with respect.

Ryan earned his MBA from The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business and previously graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BBA in Economics and International Business. In 2010, he was a first responder during the Deepwater Horizon oil spill disaster where he acquired an appreciation for community service, protecting the environment, and responsible energy policy. His experience in Louisiana would serve as the foundation for his career, and after returning home to Texas, he moved to Houston to begin his career in the energy industry. Ryan currently works for one of the most admired consulting firms in the world advising clients in the Energy industry on strategy and enterprise transformation.

Ryan is involved in several charitable organizations around Houston including the United Way, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and local Masonic Lodge. He delivered food and supplies throughout Houston to neighbors and provided labor to those left without a home after Hurricane Harvey. Ryan has served as Area Governor of Toastmasters where he led several initiatives to promote leadership and communication within his community. In 2016, he served as a delegate at the RPT State Convention where he voted on Party platform and strategy.

Ryan is a strong proponent of equal representation and our constitutional republic. He has decided to run for State Representative to bring strong leadership and meaningful results to a district that is in desperate need of a fresh start. He believes in a limited, yet efficient government that is accountable to the taxpayers. He plans to increase economic opportunity for all Texans by improving education, modernizing LOCAL infrastructure, increasing government transparency, and reducing crime and homelessness in Houston. Ryan encourages teamwork and thoughtful bi-partisan solutions to address the most serious challenges facing District 148.

Ryan lives in the Heights with his wife, newborn son, and Great Dane. He enjoys traveling, and as a result, has developed a firm belief that the best food in the world can be found in Houston, TX. He also loves humanity, meeting new people, and all Houston sports teams. He is a veteran Mutton Bustin’ Committeeman and amateur horticulturalist.
